Got two fish suppers.. the batter was over cooked and dripping of grease. Wouldn't buy again.

Fish is a hit and a miss. I've given it another shot a few times, but each visit has been disappointing. The fish batter is of such poor quality that it turns soggy within minutes, lacking the crispiness you'd expect from a proper chippy. The fish itself is often overcooked and rubbery, while the chips taste like they’ve been reheated more than once, leaving them limp and lifeless.
It's a shame because good fish and chips should be one of those dependable, comforting meals. But here, it’s far from it. On a positive note, the staff are nice and friendly, which makes the experience a bit more pleasant—but overall, it just doesn’t live up to the standards you'd hope for in a traditional fish and chips.

Lovely grub! Just had a fish tea in the seated area. Great service and got two fish, chips, tea and bread and butter for £12.50. Very good quality and ample quantity (I couldn't finish it all).

This place is on our way to the caravan and we always stop to get a fish supper and sit in the car loving it.

Best haggis and black pudding I have ever eaten, very tasty chips. Big portions. We couldn't get enough of it.
Very friendly and quick service. Clean premises and food wrapped in a layer of newspaper. I will definitely be back.
Free parking can be easily found on the road.

This is one of the best chip shops anywhere. I don't know how it doesn't win awards. P.S. Google, this is The Harbour Cafe and Grazianos. The Harbour Bar is across the street.

Good old-fashioned fish and chip shop. Great eating in had fish chips with bread and butter. Also, I love a bag of chips with lots of salt and viniger down on the beach. It's worth taking a drive for. Girvan is very dog friendly.

No Parking, Double Yellow Lines EVERYWHERE. 3 Small bays outside. Bays round corner always Heaving. Ques out the Door and Staff asking customers to repeat their orders.. I was asked to repeat my order 4 Times (annoying) write orders down with a surname. Food itself average Chip Shop Fayre Nothing special. All in all a rather stressful experience from start to finish and not worth the hassle. AVOID.

Lovely little cafe/chip shop. The food was great, and the staff were so friendly. The only negative was that there's no toilet. You need to use the public toilets across the street. But other than that, we'll definitely be back.

Denis and Clare the rutherglen pair was going to into the cafe on Saturday 31st of August 2024
But we did not stay not because it was busy it was because they no toilet facilities it was written at the door of the cafe
We where very surprised that they getting away with it since you have adults and children there having there meals ect ect specially when adults and children specially babies need changing they have large cafe serving meals all day we are very surprised that they getting away with it different if it says toilet facilities are for customers only.
